I'm a lifestyle family photographer here in Richmond, Virginia. From an early age, art has been both my escape and my personal route to connection. I find such solace in my photography- A quiet nod to the present moment- A gesture of gratitude- An act of love. It's easy to find beauty in the joyful moments, but I also like to keep it real. I know that life with kids can be wildly unpredictable, and I am so here for it. I love the mess! Come as you are- I'll meet you there.

Aside from photography, I enjoy solo traveling, hot yoga, happy hour, and a slow Sunday morning. I believe in making room at the table, staying curious, leading with humility, and keeping a good sense of humor. My favorite days are spent with my loved ones and my silly little dog, Muppet.

Hi, I'm Erin!

The goal is for my photos to feel true to life-
from the colors & emotions, to the handprints on the windows. For this reason, I keep my editing honest & light- timeless with a touch of sun kissed warmth like you'd see in your parent's old albums. I offer gentle prompting where necessary, and will give  you some tips before the shoot on how to best prepare. Otherwise, I sit back and watch as your stories unfold. I try to take the dread out of picture day by leading with patience and flexibility. I approach my sessions with intentionality and blind optimism. I lean into the chaos and keep things playful. My job is to make you feel seen and to capture sweet memories for you to savor and share for generations.

I want you to feel seen.

Art is my love language.
Photography has granted me a new type of awareness of the world that begs me to linger in the moment.
It keeps me grounded, eager, empathetic, grateful, and passionate.

- about the projects -

UNITE is a project that I unknowingly started 10 years ago when I began attending and photographing protests and marches. Through outrage and heartache, we come together to promise one another a better future. This project highlights some of my most crucial work as history is being observed in real time.

BASK is a project that I recently started as a form of mindfulness. Much of my inspiration is linked to the distant memories of the warmth felt in my grandparent's old home. BASK is different from my typical photography in that it is not person-focused. Instead, I slow down and notice character in architecture, personal style, and proof of life within a space. As this is a new project, I will continue building my portfolio and plan to highlight some of Richmond's favorite common spaces as an ode to the city and the people in it. These photos will be made available as individual prints or as a compilation of many images made available as a coffee table book.

As for personal clients, please reach out via email for details if you would like to memorialize a special space in your life
